Fall 2025 - Chloe Miller is nearing the end of her enriching journey as an undergraduate student at Baylor, but her time on campus won't end in December when she walks the stage to claim her B.B.A. The senior accounting major from Amarillo will return in January to begin graduate school at Baylor, pursuing a Master of Accountancy.
As Chloe looks to the future with eager anticipation for ongoing growth as a Baylor student, she looks back at the past four years with gratitude for those who have helped her along the way. This includes her family, professors, and close friends. Those encouraging influences and empowering people also include the Nitsche family, who established the Nitsche Family Scholarship Fund in Business and have committed to enhancing their scholarship with an estate gift.
"Scholarships like this make it possible for students to focus on their education without worrying so much about finances," Chloe said. "For me, it's given the time and flexibility to focus on my classes, get involved with a church, and build meaningful relationships on campus. It's made my Baylor experience a lot more manageable and rewarding."
FINDING A PASSION
Chloe first became interested in possibly attending Baylor through interactions with members of her church in Amarillo who had gone to Baylor or had connections with the University.
"I started exploring Baylor my freshman year of high school, and the more I learned, the more I connected with Baylor's culture of community, faith, and academic excellence," she said.
At Baylor, she became passionate about the field of accounting under the mentorship of her professors and the supportive faculty and staff in the Hankamer School of Business. Looking ahead, her goal after completing graduate school and launching her professional career is to make a meaningful and lasting impact in the business world by helping companies operate with integrity, transparency, and strategic insight.
"My Baylor education is preparing me for success by giving me both the technical skills and hands-on experience I need in accounting," Chloe said. "Working in the accounting department and learning from professors who have supported me academically and spiritually have been invaluable. They've helped me grow not just as a student, but as a person, and I feel well-prepared to enter the work field with both a strong academic and biblical foundation."
OPENING DOORS
Chloe is confident that the generous support of Baylor donors like the Nitsche family has been essential to achieving her goals. She believes those kinds of investments in the education of tomorrow's leaders create opportunities that last a lifetime. That's why she encourages those in the Baylor Family to continue making gifts to Baylor, both now and through their estate plans.
"Gifts to scholarships make a real difference in students' lives," she said. "Scholarships give students the freedom to focus on their studies, explore opportunities around Waco, and build relationships that shape their future. These gifts open doors for students and help them make the most of their Baylor experience."
